Hello!

Nice to meet you! My name is Ginni Webber, and I’m a watercolor artist dedicated to capturing the personality and spirit of animals, from cherished companions to the wild world around us.

I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always encouraged to draw, paint, and explore different mediums, and animals were my favorite subject from the start. That love for animals led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in wildlife ecology, where I learned to observe the natural world with careful attention to detail. My education taught me to see the subtleties in movement, behavior, and anatomy that make each animal unique, like the way light catches in their eyes, the distinctive patterns in their fur, and the quirks that make them unmistakably them.

Today, I share my home in Boone, IA with my fiancé Nate and our own menagerie: two dogs (Bessie and Minnie), a cat (Fern), and two rabbits (Gizmo and Tokki). All rescues in one way or another, the critters are my daily reminder of why this work matters.

Beyond Commissioned Work

Giving back to animal welfare is important to me. I donate portraits to various charitable organizations and volunteer with a local rabbit rescue when I can.
